Floor heating heats the floor of a room evenly by means of heat radiation. Because the floor is heated at a low temperature and has an even surface, there is hardly any convection. Since the heat is delivered by radiation, distributed over the entire floor, the heat emission is equal throughout the room and there is minimal temperature stratification in the room air.
This creates a very pleasant temperature. The underfloor heating is linked to a thermostat or weather-dependent control that regulates the temperature. The heat emission of the floor depends on a number of factors, such as floor temperature, room air temperature, floor thickness and floor type.
