Yacht building is a sector that is, unlike shipbuilding, geared more towards luxury. The level of finishing is therefor much higher in the yacht building industry than in the ship building industry. People buy a yacht with the purpose to enjoy themselves on water in their free time. In addition to the various requirements a yacht needs to meet, it is also important for a yacht to be unique and considered appealing. As we all know, status plays an important role here.
This asks for a high level of craftsmanship from the yacht builder in order to create this unique look and deliver a high quality product. Shipyard Royal Huisman in Vollenhove not only has the needed craftsmanship for this task, but also a passion for perfection.
From start to finish, HQM Engineering has been involved in the project Ngoni. We started with the engineering and made designs of technical layouts, including the engine room. We also designed and built complex 3d components and accompanying systems for inside the yacht. After the design phase, we engineered the production drawings and possible spools (Isometrics). Finally, if desired, we supported the production in supervising the technical installations on board the yacht.
